NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE
Pursuant to Application Number 807-7038
In accordance with KRS 350.055, notice is hereby given that TRIPLE H FUELS, INC. 17
Foxwood Drive, Corbin KY 40701, has applied for a surface coal mining operation located on Big Run 2.8 miles north of Coldiron in Bell County. The proposed operation will add 104.85 surface acres of Haul road. The total area within the proposed permit boundary will be 104.85 acres. The proposed operation is approximately 2.6 miles northwest of Big Run road junction with KY 221. The proposed operation is located on the Balkan, Beverly, Helton, and Wallins Creek U.S.G.S. 7 ½ Minute Quadrangle Maps. The surface area to be disturbed is owned by Boone Forestlands, LLC. and Penn Virginia Operating Co., LLC. The operation will affect an area within 100 feet of public road Big Run county road. The operation will not involve relocation or closure of the public road. The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Natural Resources Middlesboro Regional Office 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, Kentucky 40965. Written comments, objections, or requests for a permit conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Permits, #2 Hudson Hollow, U.S. 127 South, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
